About us
QUASARS civic association was founded in December 2007. The work of the association focuses mainly on music production organization to promote projects in the field of classical music, contemporary art, presenting Slovak music and performing arts at home and abroad.
The most important activities of the Association consist of organizing and co-organize concerts prestigious slovak group and winner of the Crystal wings in 2013 in the category „Music“ Quasars Ensemble at many festivals and projects in which it was mentioned more than 100 works by Slovak composers, as well as serious songs International Releases .
Among the major projects organized by OZ QUASARS in Slovakia include: Festival Quasars Ensemble & Košice (since 2010); Music Concert Series in Slovak towns(implemented since 2009 in dozens of cities across the country), Quasars Ensemble in Gallery in Bratislava (since 2009) concert series in the Kasárne/ Kulturpark in Košice (since 2013).
QUASARS been involved in release 5 CD set Quasars Ensemble for publishing HEVHETIA, 3 CDs for Music fund and 1CD for the Music Center. In terms of international cooperation Quasars Ensemble Slovakia presented at many major festivals abroad (Germany, Belgium, Austria, Russia, Portugal, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Romania).
Civic association QUASARS organized concerts with works of some of the world’s most influential contemporary music composers such as Bent Sørensen, Michael Jarrell, Kaija Saariaho, Toshio Hosokowa and Tristan Murail with composers themselves in attendance.
